DeAnna Duncan Grand

Director of Development and Policy Analyst

DeAnna Duncan Grand develops and stewards LPI’s relationships with philanthropic partners. She is also a member of LPI’s Deeper Learning and Policy teams. She is a co-author of New Tech Network: Driving Systems Change and Equity Through Project-Based Learning in Public Schools and Teaching the Way Students Learn Best: Lessons from Bronxdale High School.

Prior to joining LPI, Grand was Vice President of Sustainability at the Alliance for Excellent Education. Throughout her 26 years in nonprofit administration and development in the Washington, DC, area, Grand’s work has focused on education, youth development, and the performing arts. Other organizations with which she has worked include the NEA Foundation, America’s Promise Alliance, Association of Science-Technology Centers, Duke Ellington School for the Arts, Source Theatre Company, and the Fairfax Symphony.

Grand received an Ed.D. in education policy and practice from the University of Maryland, College Park; and an M.A. in theatre, film, and television and a B.A. in political science, both from the University of California, Los Angeles.
