Adrian Naranjo is the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at the Learning Policy Institute. He brings 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience and expertise in financial strategy, organizational sustainability, strategic planning, governance, and administration. At LPI, Naranjo provides strategic financial and administrative leadership, helping align the Institute’s resources with its mission and long-term priorities. He works closely with executive leadership and the Board to strengthen financial stewardship, support informed decision-making, and position the organization for sustainable impact.

Prior to joining LPI, Naranjo served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the National Health Law Program, where he led the financial and administrative functions of a national health equity organization and helped guide significant organizational growth. Earlier, he held senior leadership positions with Lutheran World Relief, the Trust for the Americas at the Organization of American States, and Avina Americas, leading financial strategy, administration, and institutional development across national and international nonprofit organizations. At Avina Americas, he managed partnerships and $35 million in co-investment funding with philanthropic organizations across a 17-country network.

Naranjo began his nonprofit career at UnidosUS, where he helped establish and support a national network of more than 80 Hispanic-serving public charter schools serving more than 20,000 students. He later co-founded and chaired the Diversity Leadership Institute, which advanced Latino educational attainment through a parent engagement model that expanded to more than 200 schools.

Naranjo holds an MBA in Strategic Planning and a BS in Business Administration and Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. He also completed the Succeeding as a Strategic Chief Financial Officer executive program at Harvard Business School.
