Jennifer Robinson is a Senior Researcher and Project Director at the Learning Policy Institute. She specializes in educator preparation, leadership, and partnerships. Currently, Robinson leads a professional learning community of high-quality teacher education program leaders in California and Texas who engage in research about teacher residency best practices for continuous improvement.

Prior to LPI, Robinson was Professor of Teaching and Learning and Executive Director of the Center of Pedagogy at Montclair State University, serving as the state and federal education policy liaison. Robinson joined LPI with prior experience teaching and advocating for children with disabilities, leading university-wide collaborative teacher education programs, establishing school–university partnerships, and directing educator recruitment and professional development grants.

Robinson is immediate past Chair of the Board of Trustees for Advocates for Children of New Jersey. Her recent publications appear in The Educational Forum and the American Educational Research Association’s Handbook of Research on Teachers of Color and Indigenous Teachers.

She holds an EdD, MEd, and MA in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders is from Northwestern University.
