Amy Skinner is a Senior Strategic Communications Consultant at the Learning Policy Institute. With LPI’s mission constantly in mind, she develops and executes strategic outreach plans focused on building awareness, strengthening knowledge, and increasing engagement with policymakers, education organizations, and the media.

Skinner is passionate about education and has a strong commitment to advocating for research-informed education policy. She has dedicated much of her career to developing and executing strategic communications, marketing, and audience engagement plans in public education and mission-driven national nonprofit organizations. Previously, she served as Director of Outreach and Engagement at the National Conference of State Legislatures, Director of Communications at Education Commission of the States, Director of Communications at the Colorado Department of Education, and as Senior Communications Manager for Denver Public Schools.

Skinner is a member of the IN! Pathways to Inclusive Higher Education Board of Directors. She earned her BS from Colorado State University.
