Jennifer Robinson
Jennifer Robinson is a Senior Researcher and Project Director at the Learning Policy Institute. She leads a professional learning community of high-quality teacher education program leaders in California and Texas who engage in research about teacher residency best practices for continuous improvement. Robinson also helps lead projects in LPI’s EdPrepLab portfolio of work.
Prior to joining LPI, Robinson was Professor of Teaching and Learning and Director of the Center of Pedagogy at Montclair State University, overseeing teacher education programs and promoting school–university partnerships. She began her career as a special educator in Chicago, then later became Assistant Director of Childhood Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her most recent publication is in the American Educational Research Association’s Handbook of Research on Teachers of Color and Indigenous Teachers.
Robinson is Chair of the Board of Advocates for Children of New Jersey. She holds an EdD, MEd, and MA from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders is from Northwestern University.
