Maria Smith is the Executive Assistant to President and CEO, Elena Silva at the Learning Policy Institute.

Smith has over 15 years of administrative experience supporting C-Suite level executives in the Washington, DC area. She has worked exclusively in the nonprofit space since beginning her administrative career. In addition to her administrative duties, Smith has provided project management and leadership on several internal and external communications projects.

Smith holds an MA in Strategic Communications and Public Relations from Trinity Washington University and a BA in English from Spelman College.
