Matt Simmons is a Senior Administrative Associate at the Learning Policy Institute. In his role, Simmons provides administrative support to senior leadership, including the Chief Knowledge Officer, Director of Research, and Chief of Operations, who he works with to plan and execute a variety of organization-wide operational initiatives.  

Prior to joining LPI, Simmons worked in law firms as a legal practice assistant and paralegal. He has also worked on a number of political campaigns, including serving on the Harris campaign in the fall of 2024, where he focused on voter protection and coordinating communications between the field and campaign headquarters.  

Simmons holds a BA in Political Science with a minor in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, where he graduated with honors and his undergraduate honors thesis on the cross-partisan influence of the solicitor general’s amicus curiae briefs was recognized with distinction.
