Henry Levin

Henry Levin is the William Heard Kilpatrick Professor, Emeritus, of Economics and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. He is Director of the National Center for the Study of Privatization in Education and Co-director of the Center for Benefit-Cost Studies in Education. He is also the David Jacks Professor, Emeritus, of Higher Education and Economics at Stanford University, a recipient of the 2004 Outstanding Service Award of the American Educational Finance Association, and an elected member of the National Academy of Education. A specialist in the economics of education and human resources, Levin is presently conducting research on educational reform, costs to society of inadequate education, educational privatization, and benefit-cost studies in education.
