Julie Serven
Julie Serven is the Publications Manager at the Learning Policy Institute. She coordinates the production schedules and processes of LPI’s many publications, ensuring high-quality products that effectively share the work of LPI researchers to inform education policy and practice.
Serven has worked as a communications professional in a variety of settings, helping nonprofits, individuals, businesses, and government agencies tell their stories well. Before joining LPI, she worked as an editor at a company that managed state and federal human services contracts. She previously served as director of a nonprofit that worked to improve literacy outcomes from birth to adulthood. She also has worked with authors to publish books on a range of topics, including a book advocating for equity in education.
Serven holds a Bachelor of Journalism and Master of Education from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
