Laura Lynn
Laura Lynn is a Senior Research Communication Analyst at the Learning Policy Institute. In this role, she collaborates with research teams to support the writing and communication of reports and other research-based projects.
Before joining LPI, Lynn was a Senior Research Manager at the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) in the UK, where she primarily led the development of English formative and summative assessments. For example, she managed the delivery of content development for national reading tests for Australia and England (commissioned by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority and by England’s Standards and Testing Agency). From 2015 to 2018, she also led the development of the English strand of England's National Reference Test, commissioned by Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation). In her role at NFER, she was also responsible for training and supporting colleagues in developing writing and research skills and offered expertise in English across the wider organization.
Prior to joining NFER, Lynn was a middle school English Language Arts teacher in New York and California. She earned a Master of Science in Education at The College of Saint Rose and a Bachelor of Arts in English at SUNY-Albany.
