Shawnice Hood is the Deputy Director of the Washington, DC, Office and the Deputy Director of Administration at the Learning Policy Institute. She provides leadership across LPI by analyzing and improving organization processes, establishing and maintaining an inclusive and collegial office environment, and improving operational efficiencies.

Hood is a dedicated and solutions-driven leader who brings to LPI more than 17 years of experience designing and overseeing office operations, including budget planning, human resource management, conference and event planning, and project management. She efficiently creates and implements processes that improve and cultivate reliable organization-wide systems. She has built her career around assembling effective office operation procedures for nonprofit organizations.
