A. Lin Goodwin

A. Lin Goodwin (葛文林) is the Thomas More Brennan Chair of Education at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development at Boston College. Prior to joining Boston College, she was Dean of the Faculty (School) of Education at the University of Hong Kong from 2017–2022. Her research interests include teacher and teacher educator beliefs, identifies, and development; equitable education and teaching for immigrant and minoritized youth; international analyses and comparisons of teacher education practice and policy; and the issues facing Asian and Asian American teachers and students in U.S. schools. She was the Evenden Professor of Education and vice dean at Teachers College, Columbia University. From 2013 to 2016, Goodwin served as the vice president of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Division K: Teaching and Teacher Education. In 2015, she was honored as a Distinguished Researcher by AERA’s Special Interest Group: Research on the Education of Asian and Pacific Americans, and was named the inaugural Dr. Ruth Wong Professor of Teacher Education by the National Institute of Education, Singapore.
