Julie Fitz

Researcher

Julie Fitz is a Researcher at the Learning Policy Institute. As a member of the Educator Quality team, she uses qualitative methods to examine teacher preparation, school leadership development, and other topics. Prior to joining LPI, Fitz worked with the Thomas B. Fordham Institute and the Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy, where she conducted research on a range of education policy issues. She has also served as an elementary and middle school mathematics teacher and preservice teacher educator.

Fitz is a PhD candidate in the Educational Studies department at The Ohio State University, with a concentration in Education Policy. She holds an MA in Philosophy and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Dayton.
