Julie Fitz

Researcher

Julie Fitz is a Researcher at the Learning Policy Institute. Her work spans a range of education policy issues, including teacher preparation, school leadership, summer learning, and mathematics education. Prior to joining LPI, she worked as an elementary and middle school mathematics teacher, preservice teacher educator, and researcher for the Thomas B. Fordham Institute and the Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy. Fitz received her PhD in Educational Studies, with a concentration in Education Policy, from The Ohio State University. She holds an MA in Philosophy and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Dayton.
