In Loving Memory of Dr. Roger P. Weissberg (1951-2021), via the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning

Roger P. Weissberg served as a Senior Research Fellow for the Learning Policy Institute. He was a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was also the Chief Knowledge Officer and Board Vice Chair of the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), an international organization committed to making evidence-based social, emotional, and academic learning an essential part of preschool through high school education. For four decades, Weissberg trained scholars and practitioners on innovative ways to design, implement, and evaluate family, school, and community interventions. In February 2013, he was elected to the National Academy of Education.
