Marcy Singer-Gabella serves as Chief of Operations at the Learning Policy Institute.

Before joining LPI, Singer-Gabella was a Professor of Education at Vanderbilt University. She has served in a range of leadership roles in university and PreK–12 settings—including as the founding faculty director of the Nashville Partnership for Educational Equity Research and Chief of Staff at Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. The through line of her work has been a focus on building partnerships and capacity to provide equitable and empowering learning opportunities for all young people and the adults who serve them.

Singer-Gabella holds a PhD in Curriculum and Teacher Education from Stanford University; a MEd in Social Studies Education from Teachers College, Columbia University; and a BA in Russian and Soviet Studies from Harvard University.
